  • BACK TO THE FUTURE PART 2 – Strategic Planning!

Sunday April 22, 9:45 am to 12:45 pm

Last September, following a year of celebrations for our 60th anniversary, a community workshop event was held to think together about future directions for SWESRS.  We asked what we can learn from our past and considered how we can move on into a successful future.

We noted that changing demographics coupled with changing attitudes to synagogue membership and community life are issues that affect all of UK Jewry and that the ways in which we choose to address these challenges will be as individual as our community.  Together, we looked at our strengths and our weaknesses; at current and future opportunities; and at the challenges ahead.  We explored key questions that we must answer before moving forward.   This was important initial work and since then Council has been debating the issues you raised, with a Strategic Planning Working Group meeting to start to progress these ideas.

You are now invited to return to, or join in, the discussion and help develop an action plan to take this work forward.   Please join us on Sunday April 22 and have your say, as we continue planning together for our future.   We know that you will help to make this a creative, productive and important morning.

RSVP for catering purposes to admin@swesrs.org.uk or call the synagogue office on 020 8599 0936.
