Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue Invites You To Jewish Modern Architecture - is there such a thing? Two talks by Tony Leach

Tuesday 22nd and 29th March @ 7.45 pm on Zoom

In the first session, we travel from early 20th century Germany to mid-century USA, back to Germany, and finally to Clore Tikva School, SWESRS's (the Beit Tefillah building) and Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue in Redbridge. In the second session, we drive through the White City of Tel Aviv, walk the Yad Vashem History Museum in Jerusalem, and stop a few more times in Israel on the way.

Tony, a retired architect, will take an affectionate but sometimes critical look at some Jewish “Modern” architects and Jewish “Modern” architecture; and they are not necessarily the same. All will be illustrated with a wide range of photos and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
