This year marks the 84th Anniversary of the AJEX Annual Remembrance Ceremony and Reunion. The Jewish community have served in the Sovereign’s Armed Services for over 300 years.
AJEX Parade is one of the many events linked to Mitzvah Day - why not do your bit and support this important community event.
This Annual Ceremony is attended by both veterans and serving personnel of HM Forces and the Community are invited to show their support for AJEX by attending this important event.
This particular year marks the hundredth anniversary of the end of WW1, descendants of those who served and their families will be present.
The Parade marches from Horse Guards Parade to the Cenotaph where the Chief Rabbi, together with our Chaplains and Clergy conducts the Remembrance Ceremony. This is attended by many important guests,
Please come and join us on this important occasion when the Reviewing Officer will be Lt General Richard Nugee CVO CBE, who will take the Salute at the March Past which follows.
Those able to march should report to Horse Guards Parade by 1:30pm and those who do not wish to march may join with members of the public, watching from Whitehall by the Cenotaph.
This year there is SOMETHING NEW! In a break from tradition AJEX are holding a new family education event on the morning of the Annual Parade. There will be discussions and crafts for the kids, all relating to WWI. All ages are welcome - FREE Food & Refreshments for all. It's happening at 8 Northumberland Avenue, near Trafalgar Square. Drop in between 1100 and 1300. Places must be booked in advance (email email@example.com). Places will be allocated for this educational event on a first come first served basis.
