As we enter the weekend of parashat Balak, featuring the famous talking she-ass, it is my time to say goodbye.
So I wanted to say thank you, for allowing me to learn among you, for trusting me, and giving me room to grow. For letting me be with your happiest and your saddest moments. You became the community I belong in, your tunes became my tunes, your People, my people.
In the words of Bal'am from this week's parasha which open our every service (Les, are you ready?),
מַה-טֹּ֥בוּ אֹֽהָלֶ֖יךָ יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶ֖יךָ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel!
I want to say a special thank you again to Rabbi Lisa, and wish your next and wonderful (student) Rabbi Lev every success.
