Stop Press

I never thought I'd be writing this on the last week of May, but spring is finally here!

We had a week of farewells and new beginnings, with a moving hybrid service last Shabbat, thanking Rabbi Lisa Barrett for all the amazing work she had done in and for this community. I am, and I believe we all are, forever in her debt for her kindness, guidance, and total professionalism. I know you all join me in wishing Rabbi Lisa all the best on her new adventure.

In light of world events during the last weeks, the weekly parasha, B'hukutai, with the slander and violence that is embedded in it reads all too familiar, however, as you may recall, it ends with Moses' prayer for Miriam's healing. It is, a prayer we use until this very day, לה נא רפא אדני נא אל, please God heal her. May this be a week of healing and peace for us all.

Shabbat Shalom,

Student Rabbi Tali
