 Another new Rabbi for SWESRS!

Council is very excited to announce the appointment of Student Rabbi Lev Taylor as our new Rabbi from Monday July 4th 2022.  Rabbi Lev, who will then be a fully qualified rabbi, will be joining our Senior Rabbi, Jordan Helfman, as part of the rabbinic team.  This is excellent news for SWESRS.  As a community, we have decided to believe in ourselves and make SWESRS the thriving, exciting community we know it can be.  With two rabbis at the helm, we will be able to continue providing excellent pastoral care to our existing members, while expanding our provision for young people and families.

Many of you will have had the chance to get to know Lev whilst he has been with us on his student placement and on a student bursary and we know you will be delighted to hear this news.  With two exceptional rabbis taking us forward into our future, we will be entering a new exciting period of growth and development for SWESRS.

Student Rabbi Lev says:

"Over my time as a student at SWESRS, I have come to love the people.
I have been instantly welcomed into the community and met so many wonderful
people. I'm so pleased I will be able to work with them going forward."
This all heralds an exciting time for SWESRS’ future.  Council has listened carefully to what you the community were telling us in the consultations on rabbinic recruitment and are thrilled that in Student Rabbi Lev we have found the Rabbi that SWESRS is seeking to complement the work of Rabbi Jordan.  We know that Rabbi Lev, working with Rabbi Jordan, will actively help us build, develop and go from strength to strength.

May we take this opportunity to wish all of our members a safe, happy and healthy 2022.
