ELELS in partnership with SWESRS Social & Community Group – Story of Survival – Susie Barnett!
Tuesday January 26 @ 7:30 pm - 8:45 pm
Susie Barnett was born in Nazi Germany in 1938. She was the youngest child of four. Her one brother and two sisters came to England on Kindertransport, although not together but separately, a frightening experience for all refugee children. Her father was imprisoned in Sachsenhausen while she and her mother were left behind in Hamburg, All six managed to make it to England through a series of "miraculous" events, although they never lived together as a family again.
Susie, an ELELS member (East London & Essex Liberal Synagogue), has told her story and educated about the Holocaust to thousands for the Holocaust Education Trust.
