“Prayer is to the soul what food is to the body,” - Judah HaLevi.

Join us for Lay Reader training, preparing for the Friday Night and the Saturday services, as you learn the mechanics and deeper meaning that enriches our Shabbat worship.  Beginners will learn the outline of the service, and experienced leaders will gain resources for adding in poems and selecting prayers for special occasions.  Basic Hebrew is required, and there will be recordings that you can work with to gain additional familiarity with the text.
