We need volunteers who'd like to help welcoming  students, help with refreshments, or be a synagogue host for a school group!

At SWESRS we have a proud tradition of welcoming local students for programmes linked to HMD - Holocaust Memorial Day (27 Jan). We welcome school groups; they are able to hear a survivor's story from the person, or their child. We will dedicate our 2020 programme to Esther Brunstein z"l, who was our member, survived Belsen and was a great human rights campaigner.

This year we welcomed 11 schools, nearly 800 children and ran 8 sessions. In February 2020 we hope to run 10 sessions -  Wed 5th, Thurs 6th, Wed 12th, Thurs 13th  Feb: both morning and afternoon sessions and  Fri 7th and 14th Feb: morning sessions.

We need volunteers who'd like to help welcoming the students, help with refreshments, or be a synagogue host for a school group, a link between them and the programme organiser (Sheila Chiat).

You should also have the opportunity to hear the inspirational speaker(s) too.

If you think you'd like to help, for one or more sessions, please get in touch with Sheila Chiat via the shul office ASAP – admin@swesrs.org.uk or 020 8599 0936.
